Did you know that there is a clear link between
school attendance and attainment?
A missed school day is a lost opportunity for learning.
For our children to gain the greatest benefit from their education it is vital that they attend school regularly. All children should be at school, on time, every day the school is open unless the reason for the absence is unavoidable.
At Redlands, in addition to delivering fun and interesting lessons, we use a range of rewards and incentives to help to make sure our attendance remains high:
- Weekly: Each week the classes with the highest attendance in the key stage are awarded the attendance bears.
- Termly: All of our pupils achieving 100% attendance are invited to an attendance award party at the end of each term.
- Anually: At the end of the year, all of our 100% attenders are invited to take part in a special reward trip.
